Every successful political party is built from the ground up, not the top down. As a National Executive Member hopeful, I believe that the heartbeat of the NDC lies in its grassroots — the men and women in every branch, electoral area, and constituency who dedicate their lives to the party’s success. Yet too often, their ideas and experiences are missing from the rooms where major decisions are made.

My priority is to champion grassroots consultation in policy formulation. Before major policy positions are taken, the voices from the branches, constituencies, and regions must be heard, documented, and reflected in our strategies. This ensures that our policies are not just intellectual, but practical and people-centered.

By bridging the gap between the base and leadership, we will create a stronger, more representative party that truly mirrors the values and aspirations of its people. The grassroots should not only be mobilizers — they must also be policymakers.
