National Organizer, National Democratic Congress (NDC)
Joseph Yamin is a dynamic Ghanaian politician, youth activist, and strategist, currently serving as the National Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC). His political journey embodies the spirit of grassroots leadership, resilience, and commitment to the ideals of social democracy.
Born and raised in Kumasi, Ashanti Region, Yamin’s roots trace through a diverse background—his father of Lebanese descent and his mother from Sankana in the Upper West Region. He attended Prempeh College, where he distinguished himself as a student leader and later pursued further studies in theology and public administration, graduating from a Bible school as a trained evangelist.
Yamin’s political career began within the NDC’s regional structures, where his passion for mobilization and youth development quickly elevated him. He served as Ashanti Regional Secretary of the NDC, and his performance in that role earned him national attention.
Under the John Mahama administration, Joseph Yamin served as:
Deputy Minister for Youth and Sports, where he championed youth entrepreneurship and sports development.
Deputy Ashanti Regional Minister, where he focused on inclusive governance and conflict resolution.
Deputy National Coordinator for the National Disaster Management Organisation (NADMO), contributing to national emergency response and disaster preparedness.
He is well-known for his fearlessness, loyalty, and strong organizational skills—qualities that have made him a respected figure among the NDC grassroots and youth base. Yamin has consistently advocated for youth empowerment, fairness in internal party structures, and the strengthening of the NDC in the Ashanti Region and beyond.
As National Organizer, he leads the party’s nationwide mobilization strategy, ensuring that the NDC’s message of unity, accountability, and social equity resonates with every Ghanaian, from the cities to the remotest communities.
Beyond politics, Joseph Yamin is a committed Christian and community advocate. His life bridges politics, faith, and service, reflecting his belief that leadership must be about sacrifice, truth, and dedication to the common good.
Yamin remains one of the NDC’s strongest grassroots pillars — a firm believer that victory for the party begins with the empowerment of its foot soldiers, local organizers, and ordinary members whose daily sacrifices sustain the movement.
