Political Profile

Mr. Eric Obuaba is a dedicated and result-oriented political communicator whose journey through the ranks of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) reflects loyalty, consistency, and exceptional service to the grassroots.

He began his political career at the branch level in the Ada Constituency of the Greater Accra Region, where his commitment to party work earned him recognition as a Branch Member, Branch Communications Officer, and later Branch Secretary. His active engagement in the Constituency Communication Team helped strengthen the party’s communication base and deepen grassroots participation in the political process.

With his strong command of political communication and organizational skills, Mr. Obuaba extended his service to the Abuakwa North Constituency in the Eastern Region, where he became a Constituency Communication Team Member and later contested for the position of Constituency Communications Officer. His creative use of modern communication tools and strategic messaging elevated the visibility of the party and earned him the confidence of the

Eastern Regional Communication Bureau, where he was appointed a Regional Communications Team Member and subsequently served as Regional Social Media Chairman.

In that capacity, he supervised regional communication operations, ensuring proper coordination of media during press conferences, media coverage, demonstrations, and public messaging. He also provided strategic oversight for the preparation of policy-based press releases, media engagements, and panel placements, thereby strengthening the region’s communication machinery and enhancing its operational effectiveness.

Transitioning to the Western Region, Mr. Obuaba served as Secretary to the Parliamentary Candidate for Ahanta West Constituency, where his exceptional coordination and message strategy contributed to a historic victory, reclaiming the seat from the NPP. He currently serves as the Research Assistant to the Member of Parliament for Ahanta West, providing technical support in parliamentary research, policy coordination, and constituency development programs.

He also holds the position of Organizer for all MPs’ Research Assistants of the 9th Parliament of Ghana. Beyond Parliament, he continues to serve as a Government Communicator, advancing the ideals of the NDC and promoting the party’s social democratic agenda.

From the branch level to the national front, Mr. Eric Obuaba embodies grassroots empowerment, visionary leadership, and political discipline.
